- Membership
- Membership of the Association is open to all Singapore citizens, Singapore permanent residents and foreigners of respected character, irrespective of age, who accept these Rules and all decisions of the Association.
- Individuals below the age of eighteen (18) years shall not be accepted as members without the written consent of their parent or guardian.
- The membership of the Association shall consist of:
a. Ordinary Members;
b. Junior Members;
c. Life Members; and
d. Honorary Patrons. - Ordinary Members
Membership in this category is open to individuals of or above the age of twenty-one (21) years. Ordinary Members shall have full voting rights and shall have the right to be elected as Committee Members. - Junior Members
Membership in this category is open to individuals below the age of twenty-one (21) years. Junior Members shall have no voting rights and shall not have the right to be elected as Committee Members. - Life Members
Membership in this category is open to Ordinary Members who have been active in the Association for at least five (5) years. The admission of a Life Member shall be decided by the Committee in its sole and absolute discretion. Life Members shall have full voting rights and shall have the right to be elected as Committee Members. - Honorary Patrons
The Committee may invite prominent persons who have contributed greatly to the Association to be an Honorary Patron. The admission of an Honorary Patron shall be decided by the Committee in its sole and absolute discretion. Honorary Patrons shall have no voting rights and shall not have the right to be elected as Committee Members. - Foreigners Members who are foreigners shall have no voting rights and shall not have the right to be elected as Committee Members. For the avoidance of doubt, a foreigner is an individual who is not a Singapore citizen or a Singapore permanent resident, and includes any individual who is the holder of a work pass or work permit in Singapore.
- Unauthorised use of membership certificates and member’s badges is prohibited. Membership certificates and member’s badges are not transferrable and shall not be lent, sold, pledged or given, as security or otherwise, to any person. Upon suspension or cessation of membership, whether by resignation, expulsion or otherwise, the member shall cease to display, wear or otherwise use his/her membership certificate(s) and member’s badge(s).
